2008 - Imagine Your Future: DigiTales

"Imagine Your Future: DigiTales" project (2008-2010) aims to change the way minorities and migrants are presented in the media by giving young people from these communities the opportunity to tell their stories, talk about their aspirations and so shape their own future.

DigiTales was commissioned by the British Council to work with young leaders from nine countries on the production of a series of stories where the young participants were encouraged to Imagine their Future. Digitales hosted an introductory symposium for young people and their host organisations at Goldsmiths, and this was followed by a series of train the trainer workshops and ongoing support for the young people. All the participants were drawn from ethnic minority groups and the participating countries were Bulgaria, Armenia, Greece, Azerbaijan, Israel, Georgia, Macedonia, Ukraine, Slovenia and Turkey. Completed stories were shared through a touring exhibition and at a final conference hosted by the British Council in Warsaw.
